exceptional non-stick skillet, (What's this?) This non-stick fry pan is well made. The skillet is heavy and frys food evenly with minimal or no grease or shortening. The bottom is very flat so it sits well balanced on the stove's burner.
The skillet cleans up easily by hand but can also be put into the dishwasher.
Great pan, good quality., (What's this?) I was very pleased with the quality of this frying pan. It is heavy and distributes heat very well. It was packaged well and I received it promptly.
Used in the oven more than on the stove top, This is probably my favorite piece of Swiss Diamond cookware and I love how versatile it is. We use it often to reheat prepared food, like orange chicken, because it transmits heat so evenly and thoroughly. Also for barbecue ribs. When I take it out of the oven, I always throw a pot holder on the handle and the opposing, short handle, because it is easy to forget it is HOT! This pan is also perfect for frying up a big batch of breaded okra and having plenty of room to turn them and make sure they are evenly browned.
Swiss Diamond is a jewel., (What's this?) I so love this product, that I am eliminating all my other "non" stick skillets. Probably one of the best products I've ever used and I started cooking along side my grandmother with iron skillets on an iron wood burning stove in 1947. If you cook and cook a lot this is the skillet for you, but remember that the prohibition against high heat should be followed. The skillets heat rapidly, and heat is transferred overall, so I have not found that hot spots are an issue. Bought two more, in different sizes, for myself and one for my daughter.
Just an excellent beautifully made Pan to last a life time, (What's this?) Swiss DIamond make great quality products and this is a fine example of one. Easy to clean and doesn't scratch. Nor does it rust or tarnish like lesser quality pans and woks. Get one you won't regret it.
Worth every penny!, (What's this?) My husband, the chef in our kitchen, raves about how much he loves this pan every time he uses it.
A superb pan, but... I wonder..., This pan is a joy to cook with & clean and has been so for over a year. It is superior to anything else we have-- classic cast iron, expensive stainless, no-so expensive stainless and I reach for it first (even when a smaller pan would be a better size). The "effortless" to clean part is as-good-as or even better than the cooking. The "but..." is why not five stars.
I doubt the Swiss Diamond non-stick coating is as claimed. Maybe... but... "Swiss Diamond non-stick cookware made with same chemical as Teflon" is the headline at [...] ([...]) We're an organic & natural cooking clan, so that's a concern. I can't tell if the NNews folks are completely accurate or not. This pan is just so good to use all-around I'm willing to cross my fingers and keep the temperature on the low side (no searing thanks) just in case.
AND, I just bought another of the same for my wife's (and my) mother. So, there.
Skillet, Seems to be as advertised. I have not owned it long enough to know how long the non-stick stays non-stick. It is slow to heat up. The side is more vertical than it looks in the picture. All in all, it is good with eggs, which is my main need for non-stick.
So far so good, (What's this?) Just got the pan today and cooked simple eggs as a test. I love the quality, heft and even heat distribution and the 12" is an ideal size. Like my enamel coated iron skillets, really no need to go past medium heat on a gas stove for searing..
