Revere Polished Aluminum 8-Inch Nonstick Skillet Great, but disappointed, (What's this?) I like revere ware. I'm convinced these guys were already doing things right when the fancy, over-priced, European type pots became fashionable. Now everyone has a line of "special pans". Good grief. Sometimes I think Americans just get in there own way. The disappointment is that the pan, which is perfect for omelets, has no lid. Revere, evidently, doesn't make a lid for an eight inch pan. Bummer. Everything else is perfect, even heating, nice balance, etc.
Great skillet!, (What's this?) I was looking for "old school" skillets that weren't so heavy like the anodized ones they are making now. I had TFal for years, but it finally shot craps. The TFal being sold on Amazon had reviews stating they were shallow skillets. That wasn't what I wanted, so I took a chance on these. I am very pleased! They are great...lightweight, non-stick (no spray needed!), and the perfect depth. They do discolor on the outside as another user mentioned, but that doesn't bother me. My skillets are kept in a cabinet and not on display. The only thing I warn against is using metal utensils! I was kind of mashing some hamburger and stirring it with a regular stainless skill serving spoon, and it did knick it up a little. My TFal wasn't that sensitive, so I didn't know.
bargain100shopper, (What's this?) I purchased the Revere Skillet so I could fry eggs for lunch. It is so easy to clean and looks brand new after using many times. I am happy with my purchase and will shop again for other items.
A dream, (What's this?) This is the best frying pan I have ever had. Nothing sticks. Everything turns out perfectly. It cooks evenly. The handle is perfectly shaped and proportioned to the hand. The pan is balanced, not heavy on the side away from the handle. It is feather-light, not a heavy clunker that wears you out just lifting it.
Deep skillet, (What's this?)
DIsappointed!, (What's this?) I have used Revere Ware for over 50 years. My Mom had Revere Ware and it always did a great job. I got this little frying pan because I am a widow and do not need to use a large frying pan. The non stick surface works well however the non stick coating melts around the edge. I noticed black stuff on my utensils and noticed silver showing through. I used it for things like scrambled eggs, making a hamburger, sauteing mushrooms. I would not buy again.
its a small pan and it works., (What's this?) The price seemed a little high but it is a good pan. The small size allows me to cook smaller items faster.
It does the job, (What's this?) It is a good product. The only problem is the out side finish. The dishwasher brakes it down or appears too. The finish is different after several washing- no shining finish. For the price I would buy it again.
AFFORDABLE QUALITY, (What's this?)
Second Frying Pan, (What's this?) This is the second frying pan of this model that I have purchased during the last 12 months. They are replacements for more expensive frying pans that didn't hold up to regular use. I recommend this product for the low price and stick-free surface. Only wish that they were still manufactured in the US.
