BergHOFF Virgo 10-Inch Covered Deep Skillet, 3.1-Quart

Berghoff does it again!, (What's this?) I originally bought this pan to replace another Berghoff 10" deep skillet that I had used for years and it was finally loosing some of it's non-stick covering. However, now that I'm using this new skillet - I find that it is more of an upgrade than a replacement. I love the new ceramic non-stick interior. Nothing sticks and yet no Teflon! The lid holders on either side are an ingenious addition as are the built in strainer holes. Plus I love the bright vibrant color. Now if I could only figure out just how to remove the handle so I can put it in the oven...

    Scanpan CTX 12-3/4-Inch Fry Pan

Wow., (What's this?) I've been using the Calphalon One cookware for a few years, which is fairly expensive, on par-with Scanpan in terms of cost. Where Calphalon is not on-par is in terms of performance. This Scanpan cookware has been absolutely fantastic thus far and is the *best* nonstick cookware that I have ever used. I cook with this pan 2-4 times daily and have yet to have any issues with it. I use the 8-inch CTX fry pan mostly but plan on getting a full set of this cookware. HIGHLY recommended- the build quality is unbelievable, performance rocks and I have no doubt that I'll get many good years of use out of this cookware.
Why did I wait so long?, (What's this?) I bought the 10.25 inch fry pan to replace an All-Clad 10 inch fry pan that is loosing it's nonstick finish. I decided to take the plunge on the scan pan because I hate redundancy, finding myself fretting about what pan to buy that will really last. It says it will last a life time, well that is what I am hoping for. The pan is a little heavier than I thought it would be, but the handle is sizeable enough to hold onto without to much trouble (I am getting old). I hope this fixes my redundancy issues with a 10 inch fry pan.
    Healthy, (What's this?)
Absolutely great pans...Scanpan CTX Fry Pans, I couldn't agree MORE with all the other reviewers before me. These Scan Pan CTX frypans are totally awesome. I have a huge, I mean HUGE, set of All Clad...Copper Core and also their regular stainless; I also have a pretty big herd of Lodge cast iron skillets...which have pretty good non-stick properties up to a point. I really love all of them but never would buy any (teflon) non-stick because even with All Clad, I had concerns about the safety qualities of the coating. Read about these ScanPan CTX pans at Sur La Table and bought the 10.25 inch....totally loved it so went back for the 8" for smaller omelets. The pans cook beautifully, especially things like eggs and some fish that might stick, but they also carmelize and brown other things nicely (scallopine and cutlets, etc.), which seem to be an issue with other non-stick pans. As noted elsewhere, the pans are: 1) beautiful and well made; 2) heavy, and have good heat retention and even heating properties.

The manufacturer says you can use metal utensils with these...I do, guardedly, only because it makes ME nervous. So far (about 7 months out on the larger pan...) they have been amazing and show NO signs of wear, even surviving use by my manimal (uhhh... that would be my live-with boyfriend who has his own unique cooking style that is not always easy on the cookware).

These have become my 'go to' pans so I am now buying the 12.75 SCANPAN CTX fry pan. True, they can be considered a bit pricey; although I also considered the ScanPan Professional line which is similar and less expensive without the layered stainless cladding on the exterior, I prefer the weight and clad properties of the CTX line and recommend these. Good investment.Highly recommended.

PS: These are only very occassionally on eBay; consistently the best price is here on Amazon who for me continues to be an awesome retailer.
awesome, (What's this?) This pan empresses from the time you open the box and see it wrapped in a blue velvet bag to using a pan that sits perfectly flat on the range. This will replace my cast iron pans. The base is heavy but half the weight of cast iron but preforms as well. The added blessing is that you don't need to wait for the patina to build to cook greaseless.
Makes you a really good cook., (What's this?) You will no longer pine for good reviews of the creations from your kitchen. This wonderful pan virtually eliminates all would-be disasters. No sticking, ease of use, simple, quick clean up. It is a bit heavy but that's O.K. In forty years of looking without success, I finally found a "really good" pan. I would purchase it again in a cook's minute.
Almost Perfect, (What's this?) I have been using the 8" and 10.25" pans for almost a year with an induction cooktop. I am considering the 12-3/4" one, too. They do occasionally go on sale here at Amazon for less than the usual prices. I wish they made a shallow 2-1/2 quart, 8" diameter saute pan with lid.

Other reviewers have mentioned what makes them so great, and I agree.
Worth the price, (What's this?) This is the best pan I have ever used. It heats evenly and is easy to clean.
Very nice pan, (What's this?) The CTX series Scanpan is top of the line all the way, comes with a protective cloth bag that the pan slips into for storage, a nice touch, works well, nothing sticks, but I must admit it ain't cheap!! It's big too. You can cook alot of groceries in this pan and it cleans up easily with a paper towel or soft sponge. Only time will tell how good this touted ceramic finish is, but it is serving us well thusfar.
if it lasts, the best cooking investment ever, (What's this?) A 12-inch-ish non-stick skillet is one of the most important cooking tools to me - you can fry, make sauces and stews (they don't spit in a wider pan like they do in a saucepan)and so on. I've always bought cheap ones, on the grounds that the surfaces don't last anyway and you replace them when they wear out.

I finally splurged on the Scanpan because of its ability to take higher heats, which makes sauteing much less frustrating. Being oven-safe, for frittatas and finishing under the grill, is great too. And I love it. It heats evenly, is really REALLY nonstick, gets you to a good searing temperature, and doesn't really need washing, just wiping out.

IF it lasts a couple of years I will be very, very happy and buy another one, and one for all my cooking friends. It is a quantum leap better than what I have had, and allows me to to do things I just couldn't do before. If it self-destructs under high heat one day, I will come back, update the review and trash it. But for now, BEST PAN EVER.

Circulon Contempo Hard Anodized Nonstick 8-Inch, 10-Inch and 11-Inch Open Skillets Triple Pack

Oh, baby baby. I want more!, (What's this?) These skillets are made of WIN. They cook exactly as advertised - evenly, quickly, hot and FAST.

Pay attention to the instructions and you won't go wrong.
Circulon non-stick fry pans, (What's this?) Most of the reviews we read were in praise of these pans. We agree. However, initially, upon receiving the pans, we were sceptical as the instructions said quite clearly - Do Not use high or medium high heat when using the pans. Whoever heard of not using high heat on a fry pan? However, we have followed the instructions and use low to medium heat as we begin heating the pans and they do heat up nicely and evenly.

It also said not to use non-stick cooking spray on the pans as that might deteriorate the effectiveness down the road. I must admit, you do not have to use PAM or other non-stick sprays and the pans work quite well and clean up very nicely with a little soap and water, sometimes water alone. We have used butter or olive oil though and both work well.

We think the pans will be just fine now that we have gotten use to working with them. We would recommend them, especially at this price point for 3 pans.
Downside - no lids, but you may already have lids in your kitchen that can fit.

Ecolution Heavy Weight Eco-Friendly 12 Inch Fry Pan

I can't believe they do this!, I bought this pan because of it's heavy weight. So far I have not been able to use it because they place a sticker in the middle of the pan that doesn't peel off. I tried to peel it off and the glossy surface tore away in strips. So then I soaked it in water overnight. I was able to remove the rest of the paper but now I'm left with a gummy sticky residue in the middle of the pan. It appears they put this label on all their pans to boast about being eco friendly. I know I could use a product like Goof Off to remove it but Goof Off is hardly eco friendly and I would rather not use a toxic substance on a pan I'm going to cook with.

I emailed them to ask them how to remove the residue. I wonder if they will respond. I don't understand why manufacturers place these difficult to remove stickers on their products. I once bought a stainless barbecue and it took me over an hour to remove the 8.5" x 11" sticker and the glue residue left behind by the sticker they placed on it. Ok enough of this rant. I'll edit this post if I hear from Ecolutions and let everyone know what they say. If I ever get to actually cook with this pan I'll also let everyone know how it performs.

UPDATE: I have been using this pan for awhile now mostly for cooking eggs.
Love this pan!, After trying one of the lighter weight Ecolution pans (which is fine), I decided to try the heavyweight pan. LOVE it! It is truly non-stick and the outside finish is much more durable than the lighter weight pans. I recently fried two pans of okra side by side one in the heavyweight pan and one in the lighter pan. The heavy weight pan fried it more evenly and faster and it was on the smaller burner! I had no trouble with label removal. I just wish all the fry pans had lids.
Great, High Quality Pan, (What's this?) I replaced an old supermarket brand that had lost its finish and I like this pan more. The Ecolution's is heavier, but not at all too heavy. The cool silicone handles are much better than the chrome handles on the old pan. The guarantee of the finish is what sold me on this product. I would recommend it to anyone. Also, there is no longer a label stuck to the pan (like a prior reviewer had.) The "sleeve" it came in slides off and you an use the pan right away.
Excellent for the price, (What's this?) After trying some other PFOA free pans, I haven't been too impressed. When this one arrived and I opened the box, I still wasn't impressed. It looks cheap and like something you'd get at a large discount place. However, once I picked it up, this is clearly heavier and sturdier than it looks.

I 'seasoned' the pan according to the instructions. Since receiving it, I've probably used it at least twice a day - for a couple of weeks now. Where I used to need a tablespoon of oil, I now use either no oil at all, or maybe a teaspoon for flavor.
Wow...The heavy weight makes a huge difference!, (What's this?) This is really high end for the price! I used the 9.5 inch for the first time yesterday and it cooked a chicken breast in oil with spices and cleaned up great. This isn't too heavy but has a nice heft to it and the silicone grip handle is a nice touch.

One thing to keep in mind with ANY non-stick cookware is NEVER use commercial non-stick sprays in them because most contain Silicon Dioxide which will break down the non-stick coating and ruin them.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Stainless 10-Inch Open Skillet

Great skillet!, (What's this?) Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Stainless 10-inch Open Skillet
This is a great non-stick skillet. Very balanced, good weight. Performs well. Very happy with my choice.
Don't play Cuisinart's manipulative little games!, (What's this?) This is a decent enough non-stick frying pan, but it's also been a quite annoying.

I'd decided there's no such thing as a durable non-stick pan, & so chose this medium quality, medium price one. I had lots of 10" lids lying around, so didn't buy one at the time. I dicovered, however, that this 10" frying pan is really a 9&1/2" frying pan & none of my lids would fit. Cuisinart puts a 1/4" flange around the lip of the pan, saves a little in materials costs, and makes a little extra profit on each one sold. I guess it must add up.

So I came back to Amazon to purchase a lid, only to discover that Cuisinart only sells lids in pairs of two! What's the thinking here? Again, they make some extra money on the deal. I wound up purchasing a Faberware 10" lid (ASIN: B00006IFQS) that the Amazon reviews helpfully mentioned was a little small. I got lucky: though there's a little play it fits well enough for me and I didn't have to pay for two lides when I only wanted one. (if you're really fussy, however, it probably won't fit well enough for you.)

The moral of the story: if you want a lid, be aware you'll have to buy two to get a Cuisinart lid that fits tightly. I'd recommend going with the Faberware alternative or, better yet, not playing Cuisinart's manipulative little manufacturing & packaging games and purchasing another brand entirely.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY, We purchased one of these pans about 3 years ago. Cuisinart claimed you could use metal unensils with it so we did. After about a year the coating was badly scratched and food was sticking to it. We decided it was our fault and purchased another one.

This time we never used metal with it and were very careful not to scratch it with anything. It lasted almost two years but now food is sticking to this one. No amount of cleaning helps either. The skillet still looks great but it is useless now. I've tried to contact customer service but they're not responding. Apparently their "lifetime warranty" is worthless.

Next time I'll buy a cheap pan at half the price and forget this brand in the future. They're just not worth the money.
Worth the money, (What's this?) This skillet is just as expected. It is great for cooking anything from eggs to meat. Clean up is a breeze.
No Non-stick, (What's this?) I was excited when opening the box and seeing a really good-looking pan. Washed it with warm water and soap before first use. The first use was a charm. It performed just as published. Hand washed and towel dried separately. About the third use started to notice a decrease in performance. Now it doesn't seem to perform any better than cheaper brands. Also, there is an annoying clicking as it is heated. I am assuming it is the sandwiched metal expanding and contracting. I would rate heat conductivity as good.
Great Nonstick Skillet, (What's this?) This pan looks great, cooks everything well, and is super easy to clean in the dishwasher.
Perfect for a couple eggs, (What's this?) I bought this pan almost exclusively to make fried eggs. My other pans are all stainless steel and it's just too much of a hassle to cook an egg on them. The 8" is the perfect size for two eggs, and the nonstick surface works very well. I can't speak to the pan's durability since I've only had it a month, but I'm very satisfied so far.
Love this pan..., (What's this?) This is the second pan I purchased in this line. I tried the Green Gourmet Non-Stick line, as I always lean towards using recycled materials wherever possible, and Cuisinart is really faturing that line, but was very disappointed. Evrything stuck to the Green Gourmet pan, even with way too much oil.

I gave up and purchased the Chef's Classic line again, and am extremely happy with it. Nothing sticks, and it cleans up easily with soap & water & a little kitchen brush.
Wedding Gift, (What's this?) This item arrived timely. It seemed to be a good weight and easily handled. I bought this for a wedding gift. The bride and groom were pleased.
Poorly balanced and not flat, (What's this?) I was very excited to get this... so maybe I'm more disappointed than I should be for the price. This is a heavy pan with a nice thick non stick coating... but I don't actually use the pan because the balance is off. It tips far more than my super cheap lighter weight pan.

Calphalon Unison Nonstick 8-Inch and 10-Inch Omelette Pan Set

Great quality, (What's this?) This item is definitely worth the $70 I paid for it. They are heavy and well made. I will definitely stick to this Brand in the future.
    Love Calphalon!, (What's this?)
SUPERB PANS, (What's this?) This is my second set. Food slides easily from pan and clean up is a breeze...just wipe with paper towel and then a quick wash. You do not use high heat on these pans. Purchased my other set a year ago and still like brand new...I use them often. Worth every penny,Calphalon unison Nonstick 10- and 12-Inch Omelet Pans, Set of 2.
I love this!, (What's this?) The Calphalon Unison Nonstick pans are all they claim to be and then some. When they came, we washed them and put them to use immediately for Sunday brunch. First time: easy, fast clean-up. Even the 6-year-old wants her turn to wash the pans because they're so easy! Yay! Wish I'd bought them a long time ago.
Does this work with induction?, Does anyone know if this set works with induction cooktop? I tried the Rachael Ray set that said it did and it did not. My next choice to try is the porcelain enamel even though they are not recommended for glass cooktop. I can't find the information on Amazon.com anywhere.

HI KATYABIRD, IT'S YOURSELF RESPONDING. NO THIS SET DOESN'T WORK WITH INDUCTION. IF YOU GO TO COOKWARE.COM YOU WILL FIND THAT INFORMATION CLEARLY DISPLAYED FOR YOU IN THE LEFT COLUMN. FOR SOME REASON AMAZON IS HIDING THAT INFORMATION.
excellent cookware, This cookware is very solid, well made and cooks evenly. The non stick surface is exceptional and the craftsmanship of the product shows its value.
Great Pans, (What's this?) I love these pans. They are worth every penny and more.
Very easy to use, nothing sticks and thier very easy to clean. The feel is very nice and the handle is well made. Get them you wont regret it.
Calaphalon pans, (What's this?) I do a lot of cooking and my preference has always been Calaphalon products. With minimal care their nonstick properties will last for years, however they are not indestructible. That's why I always keep my eyes open for these great deals after a couple of years of use. Especially when other family members insist on using the cookware like cast iron skillets.
Perfect !!!!!!!! non-stick cookware!!!!!!!!!!, (What's this?) These cephalon skillets are the best i've ever owned. They have been a blessing. We highly recommend them.
Best pans I've ever owned!, (What's this?) When I first opened the box, I noticed right off the bat how heavy they were. In pan-dom, heavy is what you want - heavy means even heating and good quality. The handles are triple-riveted and easy to hold. To elate some fears, my pans arrived in perfect condition, no bumps and "bruises" as it were, but then again, it was only shipping from a destination within my own state. There were no manufacturing defects that I could see.
As for the actual cooking, I've only used it once so far, to cook an egg, but hey that's what they're made for, right? I'll definitely have to get used to how much longer it takes to heat up because it's so thick and heavy. I like my eggs over easy, and the first thing I noticed when I plopped the egg in there is that the yolk didn't slide to the side. Oh My Goodness - a flat-bottomed pan! (My first one - I was very excited to see a yolk in the middle of my egg!). When the cooking was just about done, I noticed the side of the white begin to curl up, and indication that yes, this is a non-stick surface. And I had used no butter or oil what-so-ever. Although when I was ready to slide it onto my plate, I had to coax it a little with a spatula, but it definitely was not sticking at all. A beautiful thing to see. My old non-stick pans are very old, and pretty much no longer non-stick. When I cook an egg in one of those pans, I HAVE to use non-stick spray to cook it in. Now I don't need anything.

  • Cook with little or no oils, butter or fats; The revolutionary, ultra-smooth slide nonstick surface releases foods effortlessly

Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10-Inch Covered Omelette Pan

Use it every day..., (What's this?) This is my "go to" pan, from eggs to steaks to burgers and grilled cheese and everything in between. It cooks evenly, heats quickly and the handles stay cool. This goes from stovetop to oven without a hitch, although it is rated up to 500 degrees, I have never gone above 375. I have had the pan for over a year, the nonstick surface has held up perfectly and cleans like a charm. Well worth the purchase price. I would buy this pan again without a second thought.
Calphalon Omelet Pan, (What's this?) I love the pan, but the true test will be in how well the nonstick finish wears, and that review will take some time.
Perfect nonstick skillet!, (What's this?) This 10 inch skillet is the perfect size and does everything you would want it to do. It heats evenly, doesn't stick (so you can use less oil), and there is a nice silicone handle for a good grip.

I purchased it because another Simply Calphalon skillet was ranked in the top by America's Test Kitchen, if I remember correctly.
Great price for this excellent produc, (What's this?) I am very plesed with my omelete pan and cover. It's wonderful to use and so very easy to clean. Nothing sticks to it. I use it for most of the things I cook. Excellent product.
Great pan, (What's this?) This is my favorite pan. I use it almost every day and every time I cook. It heats evenly and cleans up effortlessly.
Love my Calphalon Nonstidk 10" covered omelette pan, This is exactly the skillet I've been needing for about two years. It's perfect for my spouse and I's needs and so very versatile. I love it.
Fine at first, but wore out too quickly, (What's this?) I purchased this Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10-inch Covered Omlette Pan in June, 2009, and it worked really well for about six months: it heated evenly and released eggs easily. I used it only once or twice a week, mostly for omelettes, and always with a nylon spatula. After a year, however, the non-stick surface had pitted in many places, and by mid-January, 2011, I had worn away a bare metal patch the size of a credit card. That is poor performance for a $40 pan, so I replaced it with a T-Fal Professional Total Nonstick 10 inch saute pan, manufacture's model number E9380564, at only $28 from Amazon. The T-Fal pan was well reviewed by Cooks Illustrated, and it looks good so far, but I'll wait and see how it holds up. [I added the manufacture's model number because it is very confusing to figure out which T-Fal pan is which; they all have similar names.
nice pan, (What's this?) A good but for the money,I was looking for a thicker bottom type pan but this one is not in need of it.It cooks very evenly and is a snap to clean very satisfied.
GREAT PAN for more than omelettes, (What's this?) I've been using this for three years now. This is a well made pan. Nothing sticks and you really don't need to use any oil (althoug I usually do). It heats evenly for even cooking and it heats quickly. It has never chipped and doesn't really show much wear after three years of nearly daily use. Easy to clean with just a paper towel. Very satisfied and absolutely recommend this and other simply calphalon products. I use only silicon turners and spatulas.
perfect pan, (What's this?) Everything you could want in a fry pan.

    Berndes Tradition 9-1/2-Inch Skillet

great medium skillet, This is a great skillet. I was looking for a replacement for my existing Berndes 9 1/2 skillet which I have used for 13 years. Stuck with using electric hotplate (instead of my favorite, gas) for all cooking needs, but this skillet still delivers.
Excellent pan!, (What's this?) I recently purchased this pan thinking it would be like many others I have experienced in the past. But it wasn't. It is a heavy duty, excellent, non-sticking pan. I do all the cooking in my home and have for over 40 years of being married. My wife simply doesn't cook. So when my other non-stick surface pan "died" I went shopping. I read with great interest other reviews of the Berndes tradition and decided to give this a try. We lived in Germany for two years and most things built by German companies, sadly, far exceed most American companies for the same product. This is true for this pan. The price is a little higher than the other brand names, but the quality far exceeds your expectations. I don't think you will be disappointed. As soon as Christmas is over and I see where our budget is, I am going to order another one.

    Lodge Logic 3.5-Inch Miniature Skillet

Lovely, litttle, itty bitty skillets, (What's this?) I have 2 of these little Lodge cuties.
    One use is as follows.
Oatmeal, while very good for you as a breakfast food, does get long and boring sometimes.
When I want to be a little bit bad, I use my two little pans to make and add two eggy weggies for a little
    treat.
Two, lovely, symmetrical, sensual eggs are cooked for a tasty little addition.
Freshly ground pepper always works for me also.
Interestingly, because these pans are so small, cooking time is very surprising quick.
    Definitely energy efficient.
Yeah, yeah, I don't get around much anymore.
    My two cents.
    Enjoy.
A fun little skillet for biscuits, pies, and more, (What's this?)
Only decorative, not functional!, I guess I thought this would be big enough to toast nuts, but it's so small that it's even too tiny for an egg! All I can think of to do with it is hang on the wall for amusement.
Cute little skillet, (What's this?) How many times have you wanted to make cornbread or mac and cheese baked in individual portions or server braised beef. Just be carefull to not over cook and dry the items you put in it. High quality serving skillet, preseasoned and good for many years.
over priced ash tray, (What's this?) I was on the phone with my wife when the frypan came by mail. Since she had been expecting it, I told her to open the package. She then burst into fits of laughter. I questioned what she was laughing about and she said the frypan. For a 3 1/2" frypan, it was tiny. It measured about 2 inches across the bottom and the flared sides were maybe 3 1/2 inches. Not even big enough for a single egg let alone a lifter to turn it. That's the problem with buying online sight unseen. Descriptions of a product can be very poor. Seriously NOT IMPRESSED.
It's not the size of the skillet, it's the quality of the breakfast., (What's this?) So yes, as noted in other reviews, it's TINY. It's 3.5 inches across at the top, and smaller at the bottom. It's just about right to cook one egg scrambled with a crumb of cheddar, or heat up three Little Smokies. Arrange three on a small electric burner to cook an egg in one, a sausage patty in another, and a dollop of biscuit or cornbread batter in the third. Breakfast! I've also used it, as outlined by another reviewer, to cook a few cloves of garlic in a little olive oil and salt. Sadly, I can't speak to how well that garlic would have worked in a recipe, because the smell drove me to such an extremity of craving I ended up eating it straight from the pan. (Keep ice on hand for burned fingers if you want to repeat these results.) It's great for browning a pinch of onion or melting a little butter. I've set it on a griddle or inside a larger pan to do some such small job while something else cooks beside it.

When it showed up, I had the same disappointed reaction noted in other reviews: "I guess it might make a good spoon rest, or an ashtray, or something." I was determined to season it anyway, and try to use it. It holds heat well for its mass, distributes the heat evenly, and turns scrambled eggs (well, egg, singular) into something light and fluffy and almost souffle-like. The size makes it ridiculously light for cast iron, and it takes maybe 45 seconds to clean: a couple of spoonfuls of hot water into the hot pan, a swirl or two with the Lodge brush, a hot water rinse, wipe it dry, and set it back on the cooling burner to dry completely. Swirl a little oil or shortening around the inside with a scrap of paper towel and it's ready to go again.

While I love cast iron, I'm a small woman with arthritis, so the weight of the larger pans makes them a chore to handle and clean, especially when they're hot.
for decoration, (What's this?) i bought two of these to hang on the wall for decoration in the kitchen. they are cute, i'm sure you could use them to cook though too. they are exactly as they look on the picture.
Very cute, tiny thing, Perfect as a paperweight, paper clip holder. Could be used as ash tray. Great conversation piece on my desk at work. Might be a good piece for doll house decoration or builders of miniatures.
Cute, (What's this?) This is smaller than I thought it would be, but it is great for heating up baby food and small amounts of sauces.
little, (What's this?) This is a small small skillet but an egg will fit inside, not two eggs just one. Good for poaching.

The Camp Chef Cast Iron Skillet, 14-Inch Diameter

USA MADE A BETTER CHOICE, Poor quality, pot metal iron pan made in China. We ordered this pan thinking it would be a nice addition to our cast iron set but were very disappointed in the quality. Even the word skillet was misspelled on the bottom of this "Commemorative" skillet (skllet). After cooking and eating food prepared in this pan, we were left with an unpleasant metallic after taste. We would strongly advise buying USA made cast iron pans.
Excellent skillet, I use this whenever I saute or fry something on the stove-top or grill-top. Heat is evenly distributed to the food in the pan, and it's easy to clean. Very pleased.

Jo!e Whisky Egg Non-Stick Double Sided Omelette Pan

Jo!e Whisky Egg Non-Stick Double Sided Omelette Pan
love it, (What's this?) I purchased this omelet maker for my mother in law for mother's day and she absolutely loves it. I am so happy.
Jo!e omelet ease pan, I have purchased 2 of these pans from debenhams quite Pricey £22 but there was a sale on so I got them for £16 each really pleased with it and so are all my family,we've done some lovely tasting omelets but the favorite is the stuffed chesse and ham I have put a demo on you tube showing how to make it,it does not get going till 1minute 35 seconds but it's worth a look, this is the link to it,if it doesn't work just put omelet ease pan in you tube search box and it should bring it up,but try this link first.....<...>

    Happy Omleting Mike.
Pretty good little pan., (What's this?) I checked through all the reviews for an omelette pan that turns over to flip the omelette. I purchased the electric pan from this site and was not too happy with it on first try. Rather expensive, too, so disappointing.

Anyway, I thought I would try this little pan since, of the on-the-stove omelette pans that are intended to be flipped, it seemed to have the best overall ratings. Also, I will be making omelettes just for myself, nearly always, so I don't want or need a larger pan.
Cute omelette pan, (What's this?) I would give this Jo!e omelette pan 5*'s if it were a little bigger just to let readers know not to expect a bigger size. This little omelette pan does the trick for me --- a challenged omelette maker. Finally, I can flip and make a nice-looking puffy edible omelette. It holds 2 beaten eggs but might leak a little when you flip the pan if you add onions, peppers & cheese like I do.
Wonderful omelettes, I impulsively bought this product at somewhere other than Amazon, but as usual Amazon sells everything so I thought I'd come over here to look for reviews. I wasn't an omelet eater until I bought this, now I eat them at least 2 times per week. I've read many of the reviews here and I don't know if it's the product that's faulty or the operator. The first time I used this pan I sprayed it with Pam and in the process of cooking got oil everywhere.

After that my method was to saute bacon, onion and, optionally, green or jalapeno pepper in a little butter and olive oil until onions are transparent. Chop or shred any cheeses and put aside. Drop just a bit of butter in the Omelet Ease and pre-heat over medium burner. Add your cheese to omelet mixture, pour in pan, lock handle, cook for 3 minutes, flip sharply, cook for 3 more minutes, slip onto plate, enjoy. The bacon, EVOO, and butter was enough without added spray oil to keep the omelet from sticking. One key step is to make sure the pan is hot enough. Flick beads of water in the heating pan, and if they dance madly across the surface the pan is ready.

There's a small flyer attached to the pan that calls for cooking each side 3 minutes, not 2 1/2 minutes, not 4 minutes. I have a glass cook-top stove; I don't know how different conditions are with gas burner stoves and regular coil electric stoves, but their instructions work perfect for me. Will my pan start failing me? The non-stick coating? Locks and hinges? I don't know, but it's been a good 2 months for me and no problems yet.
Buy only if for a joke, (What's this?) This is indeed the worse product I've ever ordered from Amazon. I thought it was a mistake when it finally arrived. A child's toy is larger. My husband said how cute, let's try it. Well I followed the only directions which stated to use oil or spray on their so-called no stick surface. I made the first omelet it slid out of the pan, I made the second one it slid out of the pan. I washed by hand with soap and water. The second and third time I tried to make a cute little omelet it stuck to whatever kind of inexpensive coating they call non-stick even though I did coat the pan on both sides. It was impossible to use. I told my husband to throw it away as I didn't even want to be bothered spending money sending it back, he took it out of the house and said he would, however, I doubt he did. We love omelets but will never order anything from this company again. By the way, this product was not the most inexpensive offered either.
This pan ROCKS for egg beaters to make a b-fast sandwich!, (What's this?) This pan has been a life saver for making a healthy breakfast sandwich. I use 1/2 cup of egg beaters.
Purchasing ANOTHER pan!, (What's this?) GREAT product... I ( a guy ) did terrible omlets... my skills are NOT good at that one.. BUT with this little pan.. PERFECT omlets the FIRST time! They even look as good as a Bed and Breakfast would have.. and SO easy. You will love it.
RIP-OFF DONT BUY., (What's this?) I bought it and it worked the first time I tried it butafter a few times the eggs were not coming out the way they were supposed to. It sticks to the pan and the eggs inflate and they burn. Also, I would not recommend to use more that 1 egg at a time because the center will be raw and the outside wil be burned. I bought it at $15 and even at that price I think it was a rip off.
Awesome Omlet Pan!, (What's this?) I ordered this pan so that I could stop microwaving my eggs every morning -- which I've done up till now because my stomach is sensitive to oils cooked at high temps and microwaving allowed me to cook the eggs without any cooking oil. This pan is great! It fits two eggs + 1 egg white perfectly. No oil is needed in the pan to cook them and they come out fluffy and perfectly cooked with very little effort on my part. I cook them on medium heat for 4 minutes on the first side and then 2-3 additional minutes after I've flipped the pan. It's easy to clean and there is no mess.
